Summer just around the corner, and I'd love to share some of my favourite cocktails! Especially if you're looking for some more lighter cocktails, take a look at my go to's for something sugar free/keto friendly.

APEROL SPRITZ

You'll need

-Aperol -Prosecco -Soda Water -Lemon/Orange slice for garnish

  1. I love to start off with a cup of ice in my favourite wine glass, and pour in 3 parts Aperol.

  2. Then SLOWLY start pouring in 3 parts Prosecco. Do this super slowly if you want that transition in your glass.

  3. Top off with 1 part soda water.

  4. Garnish with an orange or lemon slice. Cheers!

WHITE WINE SANGRIA

I love to make a pitcher of this when I have friends or family over. They love this! It's also easy to premake, or even make on the go. I just find the longer it sits with the fruit, the more soaked up and flavourful it gets!

You'll need

-1 bottle of white wine (I prefer to use any white varietal that is not too sweet, such as Colio Extra Dry White, or a Pinot Grigio)

-1 cup of fruit- I like using berries, apples, and oranges.

-1/2 cup of Triple Sec

-1/2 Bottle of 7UP/Diet 7UP if you want to stay light

-1 can of sparkling water (grapefruit flavoured is a favourite)

Try to let it sit in the fridge for a few hours, or just make it on the spot!

SKINNY MARGARITA

I love margaritas. I just find sometimes they can be too sweet, especially with a lot of pre-mixes.

You'll need

-1 packet of Crystal Light Lime/Lemon

-2 ounces of Tequila -1 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec

-1 ounce fresh lime juice

-2 ounces of soda water

-Salt/Sugar/Tajin for the Rim

Use lime for the rim, and add whatever topping you like. I love salt or Tajin for something super sour. Start off by adding 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 packet of Crystal Light into a shaker. Adjust for sweetness how much of the packet you want to add.

Then add the ice, tequila, fresh lime juice triple sec, and cointreau. Mix, strain and pour into a fresh glass with ice. Salud!
