Here are some of my favourite activities to do this Christmas, in Toronto and the GTA. These are some sure ways to get into the Christmas spirit this holiday season, and are perfect ideas for a date night, going out with your friends, family, or even to do solo!

Toronto Christmas Market (now called the Distillery Winter Village) at the Distillery District The vibes are like a Christmas Market in Europe. Make sure you sip on hot cocoa at Soma Chocolatemaker.. and mulled wine!
The Nutcracker at the Four Seasons Center I love going to the ballet around the holidays. The National Ballet of Canada always does a fantastic job, and the Nutcracker is the perfect way to get in the spirit of things.
Niemi Christmas Market in East Gwillimbury This is the perfect place to take the kids. Niemi is a family owned farm in Mount Albert, and has a lovely outdoor Christmas Market where they sell baked goods, handmade items, and lots of photo ops!
Casa Loma - Christmas at the Castle There are some fun activities at Casa Loma this year with performances, and at night there are beautiful light displays in the garden.
Yorkville - Visit the lights Yorkville is the perfect spot to take a stroll around Christmas, grab a cup of coffee, for a nice dinner at Dimmi Bar & Trattoria (my fave spot!). So cute, and best go a few hours earlier and even begin some Christmas shopping at Bay & Bloor.
The Thirsty Elf popup at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel Christmas sweaters, kitschy décor and cheerful, festive cocktails.. that sounds so fun to me.
Home Alone Concert at the Roy Thompson Hall with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra If you're as much as a fan of Home Alone as I am, then you will love the concert at Roy Thompson Hall.
Christmas Brunch at the Old Mill Inn This is the perfect spot for a dinner or brunch with the family to catch up. The Old Mill Inn is a beautiful property located in Toronto's West End, It's a gorgeous boutique hotel with a great restaurant, and views of the Humber River. Their spa is also amazing!
Pick a local charity to donate to their toy drive It's always a good time to pay it forward, especially around the holidays. I love to do good deeds, and there are tons of local charities that would appreciate some help around Christmas.
Visit Main Street Unionville for some cute Christmas vibes in York Region For something cute in the suburbs, go for a walk along Main Street Unionville.. you wouldn't believe how many films and television shows were filmed here..(Gilmore Girls, Schitt's Creek..)
