The perfect spring escape. I hadn’t been to Prince Edward County since 2021, so this was an exciting adventure to come back and see how much The County has grown. Let me take you inside one of the best vacation rental properties I’ve stayed at, in Picton, Ontario.

During our time in Prince Edward County, we stayed at the stunning Victorian Picton, an unforgettable Airbnb experience. This beautiful century home dating back to 1860, has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a hot tub, and a Coach house that has been turned into a game room. Another amazing feature is that the property is dog friendly!

As soon as we arrived, we were immediately struck by how quaint, elegant, and luxurious the property felt. The historic details and facade of the property have been so well preserved, with touches of modern luxury. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with so much natural light, and a beautiful sunroom. There is a gorgeous dining table, as well as two living/sitting areas for families or groups if you’re travelling together. Truly the property is the perfect balance of grandeur and comfort. Perfect for up to 8 guests, the home feels incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably.

The rooms were comfortable and inviting, and the bedding was absolutely incredible. There’s four bedrooms, all with the most comfortable king beds. Myself and the other guests kept talking about how comfortable everything was, and how each room was even stocked with robes for everyone. I found the property had everything you could possibly need, and every detail was thoughtfully considered.

This is such a great spot whether you’re travelling with your friends, or family, the property is perfect for groups. There’s even a hot tub, which was so great after a long day of sight seeing in the County. There are even 4 outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.

A highlight for everyone was the Coach house with the most amazing game room. I thought just the kids would enjoy this, but the adults loved it too! There was a pool table, shuffleboard, pinball machine, and lots of video games on a PS5 to play. The property even has a closet filled with board games for game night, which added such a fun and unique touch to the experience.

Another feature I loved was the location. The property was within walking distance of Main Street in Picton, making it easy to explore the charming boutiques, restaurants, bars, theatre, and local shops nearby. We loved being able to start our mornings with a walk to a café for croissants and coffee, and even head over to 555 Brewing Co for lunch, everything was conveniently walkable.

Overall, our stay at The Victorian Picton was everything you could want from a Prince Edward County getaway — relaxing, luxurious, cozy, unique, and full of charm. Between the beautiful design of the home, the thoughtful amenities, the fun game room, and the unbeatable location in the heart of Picton, it truly felt like the perfect home away from home. Whether you’re planning a weekend with friends, a family getaway, or simply looking to unwind and experience everything The County has to offer, this is absolutely a property I would recommend. I'm already planning my next visit!
